The number of resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stands at 15,641 as of September 30, 2021. Compared to September 2020, this is a decrease of 2,234 or 12.5%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC now stands at 5.5% and has herewith almost returned to its pre-crisis level.

ADEM informs that jobseekers who are unable to attend their counselling appointments at ADEM on Wednesday, 17 January 2024, due to weather conditions, will not face any sanctions.

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM was 15,232 as of 30 November 2021. Compared to November 2020, this is a decrease of 2,927 people or 16.1%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC now stands at 5.3%, i.e. below its pre-crisis level.

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM was 16,403 as on 31 December 2021. Compared to December 2020, this represents a decrease of 3,515 people or 17.6%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC now stands at 5.2%, i.e. at the level it was at the beginning of 2019.

The EU member states have decided that refugees from Ukraine do not have to go through an asylum procedure and will directly receive temporary protection. For refugees coming to Luxembourg, this means that they do not need a special work permit and are immediately available for the labour market.

The number of resident jobseekers registered with ADEM was 15,801 as at 31 January 2023, an increase of 331 people (or 2.1%) compared to January 2022. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC was 4.9%, slightly higher than the previous month (4.8%).

Jobseekers can now register with ADEM via the MyGuichet platform. ADEM is thus continuing the digitalisation of its services and at the same time offering an administrative simplification for jobseekers.

As of 12 July, the ADEM JobBoard presents itself in a revamped version, offering simplified navigation and new features to facilitate the job search.

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM is 14,269 as at 30 April 2022. Compared to April 2021, this is a decrease of 3,980 people or 22%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.7%.

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM at 31 March 2023 was 15,332, an increase of 756 people (or 5.2%) compared to March 2022. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC was 4.9%, slightly higher than in the previous month (4.8%).

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM at 31 March 2022 was 14,576. Compared to March 2021, this is a decrease of 4,113 people or 22%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.7%. For values similar to this rate, one must go back to the end of 2008 - beginning of 2009.

In order to help people who have fled Ukraine to access the Luxembourg labour market, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the social and solidarity Economy, in collaboration with the Inspectorate for Labour and Mines (ITM) and the Luxembourg employment agency (ADEM), has published a flyer with important information on Luxembourg labour law, job search and registration with ADEM.

The number of resident jobseekers registered with ADEM was 13,638 as of 30 June 2022. Compared to June 2021, this is a decrease of 2,764 people or 16.9%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.7%.

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 14,622 on 30 November 2022, a decrease of 610 persons (or -4.0%) compared to November 2021. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.9%, identical to last month.
