The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM at 31 March 2022 was 14,576. Compared to March 2021, this is a decrease of 4,113 people or 22%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.7%. For values similar to this rate, one must go back to the end of 2008 - beginning of 2009.

Information for jobseekers who have fled Ukraine
In order to help people who have fled Ukraine to access the Luxembourg labour market, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the social and solidarity Economy, in collaboration with the Inspectorate for Labour and Mines (ITM) and the Luxembourg employment agency (ADEM), has published a flyer with important information on Luxembourg labour law, job search and registration with ADEM.

Unemployment rate stands at 4.9%
The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM at 30 April 2023 was 15,330, an increase of 1,061 people (or 7.4%) compared to April 2022. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.9%, the same as the previous month.

New: Online Language Tests for Job Seekers
Starting from July 4th, all jobseekers registering with ADEM are required to take an online language test. This applies to the four main languages used in the job market: Luxembourgish, French, German, and English.

The number of available registered jobseekers at ADEM stood at 15,333 as of June 30, 2023, an increase of 1,695 people (12.4%) compared to June 2022. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate, calculated by STATEC, is 5.2%, higher than the previous month (5.0%).

As of August 31, 2023, there were 16,056 residents in Luxembourg registered as unemployed with ADEM. This corresponds to the number of jobseekers registered in the previous month. Compared to Augus 2022, this represents an increase of 1,903 individuals (13.4%). The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate, calculated by STATEC, stands at 5.3%.

Inscription auprès de l’ADEM des réfugiés en provenance d’Ukraine
Le Gouvernement a pris la décision que les réfugiés qui bénéficient de la protection temporaire pourront s’inscrire sans délai auprès de l’ADEM.
