First edition of the "Jobday Aides & Soins": A resounding success with over 1,200 visitors
The first edition of the "Jobday Aides & Soins", organised by COPAS in collaboration with ADEM, was a resounding success. Gathered at the Alen Tramsschapp, 32 COPAS member organisations, along with five partners active in the fields of training, information and recruitment, welcomed over 1,200 visitors who came to discover the many career opportunities offered by the care and support sector.
Open to jobseekers, students, those undergoing retraining and anyone interested in a meaningful career, the fair aimed to highlight the diversity of careers within the sector. Visitors were thus able to meet employers face-to-face, find out about job opportunities and discover the many prospects for career progression and training
The event was graced by the presence of the three ministers responsible for the relevant areas. The day was officially opened with a welcome address by the Minister for Health and Social Security, Martine Deprez, and the Minister for Labour, Marc Spautz, who emphasised the strategic importance of the care and support sector, as well as the recruitment challenges it faces. The ministers then toured the exhibition, meeting the 32 service providers in attendance, professionals working in the field and visitors. Mr Max Hahn, Minister for Family, Solidarity, Community Life and Integration, joined the event midday to continue these discussions with exhibitors and job seekers.
This strong institutional commitment reflects the support given to a sector that plays a vital role in supporting older people, people with disabilities, and anyone else requiring care or assistance in their daily lives.
With 32 exhibitors, three ministers in attendance and over 1,200 visitors, this first edition of the Jobday Aides & Soins has been a resounding success. COPAS and ADEM would like to extend their warmest thanks to all the partners who contributed to the success of this event, as well as to Tricentenaire and Eurest for the high standard of catering provided during the event.
Buoyed by this enthusiasm, the organisers intend to build on this momentum in order to meet the sector’s recruitment needs and raise the profile of professions that are essential to our society. A second edition is therefore planned for late 2027.
COPAS is the employers’ federation for the care and support sector in Luxembourg, representing 57 member organisations active in the fields of care and support, elderly care, disability and mental health, which together employ more than 15,000 staff. As the main point of contact for the public authorities, COPAS defends the sector’s interests and works to raise the profile of its professions, as well as to develop high-quality services for the benefit of those receiving support.
