Employers who wish to recruit a new employee are required to submit a declaration of vacant position to ADEM.
This obligation applies to the recruitment of:
• salaried workers, whether they are EU-citizens or not;
• self-employed workers;
• disabled workers or workers under a redeployment scheme.
Declaring a vacant position to ADEM only takes a moment. The procedure can also be carried out online via MyGuichet.
The declaration must be submitted at least 3 working days before the publication of the vacant position in the press or via any other communication media.
The job offer remains valid for 2 months. After that, the job offer is automatically closed. Employers who have not found the ideal candidate by then can extend the offer by contacting ADEM.
