An employer who employs an apprentice under an adult apprenticeship contract and pays the social minimum wage for unskilled workers can receive a reimbursement of the difference to the training allowance paid in initial apprenticeship for the respective apprenticeship profession.
Beneficiaries
This aid is available to all companies that employ an apprentice on the basis of an apprenticeship contract for adults.
Terms & Conditions
The company must be established in Luxembourg and be authorised to train apprentices.
The trade or profession in which the apprenticeship is done must be included in the Grand-ducal regulation that determines all the professions and trades recognised for vocational training (apprenticeships).
Amounts
The amount of the compensation is equal to the difference of the social minimum wage for unqualified workers (SSM) and the apprenticeship allowance paid in the initial apprenticeship scheme .
This reimbursement is due as long as the adult apprenticeship contract lasts.
