The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 14,622 on 30 November 2022, a decrease of 610 persons (or -4.0%) compared to November 2021.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.9%, identical to last month.
One year on, the numbers are down for jobseekers with a registration period of more than 6 months (-1.7% for registration periods of 7 to 11 months and -20.2% for registration periods of 12 months and more).
The number of new registrations is on the rise again. In fact, 2,614 residents registered with ADEM in November 2022, an increase of 354 people or 15.7% compared to November 2021. Note that this month's new registrations include 92 registrations of beneficiaries of temporary protection (refugees from Ukraine).
The number of resident jobseekers receiving full unemployment benefit fell by 290 people or 3.8% year-on-year to 7,325. The number of people participating in an employment measure stands at 4,259 and is below the level observed in November 2021 (-161 people, or 3.6%).
During November 2022, employers reported 3,276 vacancies to ADEM, a decrease of 7.1% from November 2021. The number of open positions stands at 12,226 as of 30 November 2022, an increase of 17.0% compared to last year.
