A successful first job day for Goodyear
Around a hundred candidates met recruiters. On 11 December, the first Goodyear Job Day was held in Colmar-Berg, organised in collaboration with ADEM and the Walloon Public Service for Employment and Vocational Training (FOREM).
This event brought together more than 94 participants, who came to discover the career opportunities offered by the company. The day began with a presentation of Goodyear's activities in Luxembourg, followed by a tour of the tyre production plant. Candidates then had the opportunity to meet recruiters for individual interviews.
The positions on offer cover a wide range of professions within Goodyear in Colmar-Berg, between the factories and the Test Centre. These include:
- Industrial mechanic
- Industrial electrician
- Lathe operator/milling machine operator
- Production operator
- Pneumatic test operator
In order to target the most suitable profiles, the company benefited from the support of ADEM and FOREM as part of the Eures Grande-Région partnership, a cross-border collaboration that has been in place for 20 years.
ADEM pre-selected and invited potential candidates from its pool of registered job seekers, based on their profiles and qualifications.
Thanks to the targeted work of its advisers, Forem identified and prepared candidates who best met Goodyear's expectations, ensuring an effective match between talent and recruiters.
Yasmine Goudembourg, Human Resources Director at Goodyear Luxembourg, says: "This first edition of Jobday at Goodyear is the result of the commitment of our internal teams, but also of close collaboration with ADEM and FOREM."
Ivisa Xhindi, Recruiter at Goodyear Luxembourg, confirms: "We are very pleased with the number of candidates who attended this event and have already scheduled interviews with a selection of promising profiles."
Feedback from candidates has also been very positive, as one participant said: "It was a great discovery! I have already had the opportunity to work in production and here I was able to visit the factory and talk to recruiters. The discussions were really constructive and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a positive response soon."
