The rapid digitalisation and automation of the world of work is also leading to fundamental changes in vocational education and training. Increasingly, highly specialised training is being offered, for example on specific software or technological applications (e.g. 3D printing), which conclude after a relatively short time with their own certificates, the so-called micro certificates. For many employers, microcredentials already play a major role when it comes to hiring new employees.
To better understand the importance of micro certificates for the European labour market, the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) has launched a survey specifically aimed at job seekers.
Participation in the survey is possible in several European languages, including English, French and German. Interested parties can access the survey here.
