Your pathway to employment

Your journey to employment begins with training at the Centre d’orientation socio-professionnelle (COSP), where COSP advisors will help identify your interests and abilities. Based on this, they can guide you towards a job in a company that matches your skills and professional goals.

The COSP training is followed by a one-month initial work experience in a company. This gives you the opportunity to meet an employer and discover a professional field. If the experience goes well, you can sign a one-year Employment Support Contract (CAE-agrément). During your CAE, you can take remedial education courses to prepare for an apprenticeship.

The goal of this project is to make it easier for you to access an apprenticeship or a job.

The Employment Support Contract (CAE-agrément) offers several benefits:

  • The contract lasts for 12 months (with a possible extension of 6 months);
  • You receive the minimum social wage;
  • The employer commits to training you within the company;
  • If you want to gain a qualification and start an apprenticeship, you can take remedial education courses at the National Centre for Continuing Vocational Training (CNFPC);
  • If you have questions or difficulties integrating into the workplace, you can always get help from ADEM’s specialised counsellors.
