The number of resident jobseekers registered with ADEM was 13,638 as of 30 June 2022. Compared to June 2021, this is a decrease of 2,764 people or 16.9%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.7%.
The number of jobseekers is down for all categories of jobseekers, except for jobseekers with less than 4 months of registration, which is up by 9.6%.
The number of new registrations is on the rise again. Indeed, 2,156 residents registered with ADEM during June 2022, an increase of 187 people or 9.5% compared to June 2021. It should be noted that this month's new registrations include 168 registrations of beneficiaries of temporary protection (refugees from Ukraine).
The number of resident jobseekers receiving full unemployment benefit fell by 1,488 or 17.8% year-on-year to 6,880. The number of people receiving a measure stands at 4,449 and is below the level observed in June 2021 (-148 people, or 3.2%).
During June 2022, employers reported 4,252 job openings to ADEM, an increase of 8.7% compared to June 2021. The number of available positions stands at 13,599 as of June 30, 2022, a new all-time high. The increase over one year is 39.7%.
