The unemployment rate remains at 4.7%.

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 14,259 on 31 July 2022. Compared to June 2022, this is an increase of 621 people.

Compared to July 2021, this is a decrease of 2,548 or 15.2%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.7%.

The number of jobseekers declined for all categories of jobseekers, except for jobseekers with less than 4 months of registration, which rose by 6.9%.

The number of new registrations is on the rise again. In fact, 2,251 residents registered with ADEM during July 2022, an increase of 87 people or 4% compared to July 2021. It should be noted that this month's new registrations include 164 registrations of beneficiaries of temporary protection (refugees from Ukraine).

The number of resident jobseekers receiving full unemployment benefit fell by 1,207 or 14.6% year-on-year to 7,032. The number of people participating in an employment measure stands at 4,221 and is below the level observed in July 2021 (-216 people, or 4.9%).

During July 2022, employers reported 3,965 vacancies to ADEM, an increase of 13.9% compared to July 2021. The number of available positions stands at 13,028 as of July 31, 2022. The year-over-year increase is 34.1%.
