The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 14,133 on 30 September 2022, similar to the previous month's figure. Compared to September 2021, this is a decrease of 1,508 people or 9.6%. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.8%, identical to last month.
The number of jobseekers fell for jobseekers with a registration period of more than 6 months (-16.8% for registration periods of 7 to 11 months and -20.2% for registration periods of 12 months or more).
The number of new registrations is on the rise again. In fact, 2,952 residents registered with ADEM in September 2022, an increase of 147 people or 5.2% compared to September 2021. It should be noted that this month's new registrations include 139 registrations of beneficiaries of temporary protection (refugees from Ukraine).
The number of resident jobseekers receiving full unemployment benefit fell by 820 people or 10.5% year-on-year to 6,999. The number of people participating in an employment measure stands at 4,133 and is below the level observed in September 2021 (-346 people, or 7.7%).
During September 2022, employers reported 3,633 job openings to ADEM, a decrease of 15.5% from September 2021. The number of available positions stands at 13,332 as of September 30, 2022. The year-over-year increase is 24.5%.
