Under certain conditions, jobseekers can receive financial assistance to increase their chances of integration or reintegration the labour market. This section looks at the different types of assistance available to jobseekers when they return to the labour market, their vocational training or their occupational redeployment.
Employees who, for specific reasons, return to work in a position that is less well paid than their former position are entitled to re-employment support.
Geographic mobility support
If jobseekers live too far away from their future workplace, they can, under certain conditions, apply for geographic mobility support.
Should the professional redeployment result in a salary reduction, employees are entitled to a compensatory benefit, which represents the difference between the previous and the new remuneration.
Support for vocational training
This assistance is meant for any jobseeker registered with ADEM who wants to undergo vocational training. The costs of the training will be covered by ADEM.
Apprentices who complete their apprenticeship year successfully are eligible for an apprenticeship bonus
Professional transition allowance
Any person who benefits from an external professional redeployment by referral to the Joint Commission by the medical supervision of the Social Security after 1 January 2016 with at least 10 years 'aptitude at the last job ascertained by the competent occupational physician or at least ten years' service.
