The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 15,760 on 31 December 2022, a decrease of 643 persons (-3.9%) compared to December 2021. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 4.8%.

Early signs of a less favourable labour market trend
The number of available resident jobseekers, registered with the ADEM, was 14,669 as of October 31, 2022, an increase of 536 people (or +3.8%) compared to last September. This increase is mainly due to people under 30 years old.

Apprentices and host companies can exceptionally sign an apprenticeship contract up to and including 30 November for the year 2022 instead of the usual date of 1 November.
